Insurance Europe's response to a consultation on the European Commission’s proposal for a regulation to establish a framework to facilitate sustainable investment.

Insurance Europe expresses support for the EU’s efforts to make the European economy greener and more resilient, in line with the goals of the EU Capital Markets Union project. Since sustainability has different meanings to investors in different markets, reaching a shared understanding of sustainability must be the key priority for the Commission, so the proposal for the framework (ie, the taxonomy) is a very positive step.
