ISSDC conference: "The demographic challenge revisited: Innovative measures in the European insurance sector"

On 12-13 May 2016 Insurance Europe and the employer and employee organisations that make up the EU’s Insurance Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee (ISSDC) are hosting a conference in Bucharest, Romania to discuss ways for the European insurance sector to address the challenges it faces as its workforce gets older.
The conference marks the end of the ISSDC’s 2016 project on the demographic challenge in the insurance sector, which is funded by the European Union. The 2016 project has built on the work of the previous project on the demographic challenge, which was led by Insurance Europe in 2011-2012.

At the conference a new booklet will be presented with positive, innovative and effective “good practices” introduced in the insurance industry in the field of work-life balance, qualifications and life-long learning, health and safety at work, working longer and telework. The booklet has a special focus on Central and Eastern Europe and is an update of the ISSDC's 2012 booklet.
