Ensuring balanced global tax rules

In recent years, policymakers have been looking to find ways to ensure that companies pay their fair share of tax. Due to the cross-border nature of tax evasion and avoidance, international cooperation in this field is particularly high on the political agenda.

Insurance Europe welcomes initiatives aimed at addressing the problem of tax avoidance and evasion. It believes that they should be targeted and proportionate in nature.

Therefore, Insurance Europe engages with the many international stakeholder groups and standard-setters involved in dealing with taxation issues to inform the debate and ensure that new tax rules are fair and work as intended.
