“Let’s talk insurance” conversation cards launched during Global Money Week

Today

Insurance Europe has launched its “Let’s talk insurance” conversation cards during Global Money Week. The cards are designed to help young people and their families talk about money, risk and insurance through real-life situations.

Aimed mainly at parents and children aged 11 to 15, the cards can also be used with older young people, as well as by teachers and youth organisations. They cover everyday topics such as stolen bikes, broken phones, online scams, travel problems and extreme weather.

The aim is to help young people think about what can go wrong, what that could cost, and how people can prepare. The cards also draw on the skills set out in the EU-OECD Financial Competence Framework for Children and Youth, especially in the area of risks and rewards.

The launch is part of Insurance Europe’s contribution to Global Money Week and supports broader efforts to strengthen financial and insurance literacy.
